🧦The Ace Burpee Show is proud to take part in Socktober, supporting of our friends at Main Street Project once again.
We are excited to announce that our friends at Cambrian Credit Union have teamed up with us once again to be sock drop off locations through the month of October.
Drop your sock donations off at 1445 Pembina Highway, Monday-Friday between 9am-4pm through Friday, October 30 and the Ace Burpee Show will match all sock donations made to our office up to 1000 pairs!
From folks coming into Protective Care with nothing on their feet at all, shelter community members needing a new pair of dry socks to people living in transitional housing needing new socks, Main Street Project covers a wide range of needs of those they serve.
People experiencing homelessness are at risk of developing serious feet health issues including infections, ulcers and nerve damage due to diabetes. Being exposed to the elements can cause frostbite. In severe cases, foot health issues can lead to serious illness and amputation.
