Presented by Vancity, celebrate car-free days at two free street festivals in Vancouver this September! Commercial Drive Car Free Day will take place on Saturday, September 6th, followed by Main Street Car Free Day on Sunday, September 14th. Both festivals will run from 12 PM to 7 PM.
These annual events bring together local vendors, artists, artisans, community partners, and businesses from across the Lower Mainland to celebrate vibrant, connected neighbourhoods. Festival-goers can expect a lively mix of live entertainment, delicious food, interactive community booths, children’s activities, and more — all in celebration of diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.
In support of a zero-waste environment, accessible waste stations will be available throughout the sites. Attendees are encouraged to arrive by walking, cycling, car-sharing, or using public transit to keep the events car-free and community-focused.
