Event Information: Donate to help Nolan and Family. Nolan was diagnosed with brain cancer at age 8, he is now 17 and it has returned. He is going to Toronto Sick Kids Hospital for a clinical trial. Wellness Wags Assistance Dogs is excited to be partnering with Burnside Brewing to host a community Bark-B-Q fundraiser! This dog-friendly event at Burnside Brewing on Saturday, August 23rd from 11-4 will bring together families, friends, and furry companions for a lively afternoon of food, beer, professional puppy photos, and of course, puppies! All proceeds from the event will go directly toward supporting our volunteer-led programs and the dogs in training who will one day change lives here in Nova Scotia.

ElderDog Paws in the Park is an annual fundraiser at DeWolf Park in Bedford on Sunday, Sept 21, 2025 10:30 am to 2 pm. Rain date Sunday, Sept 28, 2025. This will be a fun interactive community event for families and dogs. There will be a vendor market and activities for dogs and their owners. ElderDog Canada is a 100% volunteer based, registered national charity focused on supporting seniors and caring for their dogs by helping with tasks (e.g., walking dogs and bringing dogs to appointments).
