It's Halifax's Kick-Off to Christmas!
On Saturday, November 15, at 6:00 pm, Downtown Halifax will celebrate the 30th annual Nova Scotia Power Holiday Parade of Lights, presented by Eastlink and hosted by the Holiday Parade of Lights Society!
The parade also highlights important charitable initiatives, including MOVE 100’s Toy Drive in partnership with Canadian Tire & Salvation Army and Virgin Radio’s Food Drive with Halifax RenoWorx, supporting Feed Nova Scotia. Spectators are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, packaged toys, or cash donations, which will be collected along the parade route to assist those in need this holiday season.
Beginning at 6:00 pm, the parade will start at the Cogswell Street roundabout, adjacent to the Emera Oval and Citadel Community Centre. It will then head south on Ahern Avenue, onto Bell Road, then to South Park Street, east onto Spring Garden Road, turning left onto Barrington Street, and conclude at George Street.
